AUT Intelligent Autonomous Systems Laboratory
AUT Intelligent Autonomous Systems Laboratory
The AUT Intelligent Autonomous Systems Laboratory provides students with a practical research and development environment for studying and implementing advanced autonomous driving technologies.
As one of Iran’s top four autonomous vehicle teams, the laboratory enables students to move beyond theoretical studies and implement high-level artificial intelligence and autonomous driving algorithms on simulation and real robotic and vehicle platforms.
The main research and development activities include computer vision, environmental perception, camera and LiDAR processing, sensor fusion, localization, mapping, decision-making, path planning, motion planning, obstacle detection and avoidance, and autonomous vehicle control.
Students also gain practical experience with intelligent transportation systems, ROS and ROS 2, real-time autonomous software architectures, and the integration of perception, planning, and control algorithms for autonomous vehicles.
